No Panda3D version on hp that works on Fedora, Windows

There is no Panda3D version on the panda3d.org homepage that works on both Fedora, Windows. For cross-platform developers using Fedora but supporting Windows too, this is a problem.

  1. 1.8.1: has a fedora source code download, but it doesn’t compile on the current Fedora 20 at all. (Multiple breakages with turbojpeg, and newer incompatible ODE and bullet versions on Fedora)
  2. devel: there is no download for source code or a Fedora-specific download section. This one might work in theory but you cannot trivially get it from the website. There is also no link to the cvs.
