RenderPipeline terrain workflow

Does the RenderPipeline support a more terrain asset workflow? Engines like UE and Unity support splatmap export from WorldMachine. Some plugins even go further: assetstore.unity3d.com/en/#!/content/76166

How can we put terrains into the engine? I’ve made a similar question before, but i saw some new code in the repository and i think you guys improved how texturing terrains work.
