according to the maya documentation MLibrary is part of the OpenMaya library. but, I just discovered that there’s two Open Maya libraries - there’s libOpenMaya.so, the shared library, and libOpenMayalib.a, a static one. nm tells me that the .a has the symbols for MLibrary. weird. ok, will try that tonight …
