I seems that num-lock is broken. I ran with messenger.toggleVerbose() and no event is produced by the num-lock or the 5 key on the number pad.
On IRQ pro-rSoft also confirmed that it is broken on his system too.
I am running Linux 64 bit system with Kubuntu edgy and pro is running 32 ubuntu edgy panda 1.4.2.
