Can't install 1.8 into Ubuntu 12.04 - libhighgui2.1 [SOLVED]

Hi,

I can’t install 1.8.0 “oneiric” package into Ubuntu 12.04 32bit because Software Centre states that libhighgui2.1 dependency is not met.

I can see only libhighgu2.3 package - indeed, there is no 2.1 to be seen.

Do Panda have to be compiled from source for brand new 12.04?

What’s stopping you from installing 2.1 ?
