Ubuntu 11.10 - Dependency is not satisfiable: libavcodec52

Hey guys.

I’ve installed the runtime with no problem. I then went ahead and downloaded v1.7.2 of the Ubuntu Maverick deb file. I’m assuming it is compatible with Ubuntu 11.10?

However I get the following message in ubuntu software centre: Dependency is not satisfiable: libavcodec52 (>= 4:0.6-1~)|libavcodec-extra-52 (>= 4:0.6-1~)

There seems to be a similar thread regarding this issue earlier which seems I need the developer version. However it mentions it being likely unstable so I’d really prefer the older version as I’m just gonna be new to it etc etc.

Another thread states theres a buildbot build available for 11.10, how do I get this?

Thank you.

panda’s development versions are mostly stable. but it is simply not recommended for production because things do change sometimes. usually nothing on the core features, but for new features you might experience problems.
so most of the time using the daily builds is no problem. you can find it on the download page.
panda3d.org/download.php?sdk&version=devel

Ubuntu 11.10 is Oneiric. The maverick build won’t work for oneiric.
