The technique you describe sounds good. Really good.
I have an idea (for sometime in the future) to create a demo that shows off rendering of lots of animated people in some sort of environment like a university after a lecture finishes. But I know I’d need to use instancing or some kind of trick to have any chance of making it.
anyway, that’s why I got so excited when I saw ur demo.
