How to set up Panda3D environment in OpenSUSE

Postby irul » Thu Oct 27, 2011 8:51 am

Hi, I've just downloaded Panda3D SDK, and the installation went well. but I have no idea how to configure this SDK to my python IDE. this is my laptop details:

OS: OpenSUSE 11.4
IDE: Geany

I don't know where I can find my Panda3D directory under my linux.

I hope somebody can save me from this problem.

Thank you.
Regards!

Welcome to the forums!

You don't need to configure anything, it should be added to the python path automatically. For what it's worth, though, Panda's Python modules are located in /usr/share/panda3d.

Thanks for the warm greetings :). After long journey to decide which engine I should use over the others finally I landed here. And I decide to choose panda3D.

I changed my IDE to Netbeans and looked under directory you gave to link panda with my Netbeans. Everything goes well afterward. Thanks again :P
